Human Dignity A Center For Leadership AB is an center for leadership development located in Sollefteå, Sweden.
Leadership Developer and CEO Annika Sundbom Åström is the founder of the center and responsible for all of the center’s leadership development. She has for the past fifteen years been developing leaders in Sweden and internationally in private sessions, organizational development projects, mentorships and educations, working with hundreds of leaders from industries, the trade businesses, health care, banks, communications, forest industries, pharmaceutical industries, civil society, as well as diplomats and peace mediators, including staff of the Swedish Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. Her consciously responsible leadership engaging our mental, emotional and physical communication, long-term comprehensive goals and judgment free relations is particularly effective for resolving conflicts, building lasting relationships and catalyzing growth––whether for the development of governments or marriages, international organisations or peace processes. Sundbom Åström also has experience in leading larger transformative societal projects and has authored the book on leadership ”Duktig eller Död: En ledares bekännelse eller Jakten på Självkärlek” (2012), also accessible in English ”Do or Die: Confessions of A Leader or The Pursuit of Self Love” (2017) (see Shop).
Peace Researcher (PhD) Mathilda Lindgren is a consulting partner, responsible for all of the center’s documentation and research. She has a decade worth of academic research experience via Uppsala University, New York University and the Folke Bernadotte Academy’s ”Conflict Prevention Group”, studying e.g. governance, nonviolence, conflict prevention and international mediation using mixed quantitative and qualitative methods. She has interviewed and surveyed hundreds of mediators at the UN, EU and AU for her PhD, worked at the UN Mediation Support Unit and taught at Uppsala University and the Swedish Defense University. Since 2017 she studies the relationship between leadership and development, with a particular focus on evaluating the processes and effects of the conscious responsible leadership developed and used by Sundbom Åström and also used by others. The center’s first report ”The Conscious Responsible Leadership” / ”Det medvetna ansvarsfulla ledarskapet” will be released in May 2019.
